The Eldridge-North Scott Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the return of Brew Up Wine Down on September 16, 2023 from 6:00-9:00pm. This popular beer/wine/spirit-tasting event will take place in the 200 block of 2nd Street in the heart of downtown Eldridge, and once again features an Oktoberfest theme.

The Chamber has secured several vendors who will be offering samples of their locally/regionally-made products. There will be a variety of adult beverages including craft beers, hard ciders, wines and spirits, and more to come. Already committed to participating at the event are: Ardon Creek Vineyards, Ackerman Fireside, Bridgehouse Cider, Cat’s Eye Distillery, Double Barrel Drinkery, 5ive Cities Brewing, Front Street Brewery, Knee High Distillery, Okoboji Wines, Twin Span Brewing, The Granary and TLC Brew Works, with more confirming their participation weekly. Many of these businesses will also offer to-go sales of their products and merchandise.

To compliment the Oktoberfest theme of this year’s event, our DJ from B100 will be providing party music (a bit heavy on the polka side). Downtown Eldridge eateries will be selling food outside: Bavarian pretzel sticks with beer cheese from Maloney’s Pub, bratwursts from Al & Gerry’s Tap, and apple strudel from Eastern Iowa Baking Co. The Chamber will be hosting some fun, Oktoberfest-themed contests during the evening.

This event is for adults 21+. Tickets are available at www.northscottchamber.com and in-person at North Scott Hy-Vee and Men-tality Barbershop in Eldridge. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the gates, and includes a commemorative tasting glass and pretzel necklace. In an effort to encourage attendees to drink responsibly, we will be offering a “Designated Driver” ticket for a $5 donation that includes free non-alcoholic beverages at the event. (No children or pets are allowed at this event. The event will take place rain or shine.)
