A bags tournament and beer tasting are in the works to benefit Gilda’s Club of the Quad Cities.
Glida’s Club Board Chairman Drew Dennis explained that “Bags N Brews” is back for its ninth year in 2021, describing it as “just a big barbeque.” Earnings from the tournament and event go back to Gilda’s, which is an organization that offers support to people impacted by cancer.
The event will be held at Lindsay Park in the Village of East Davenport and will feature sampling by local beer vendors, a DJ, and Famous Dave’s Barbeque, as well as silent raffle items up for grabs.
Registration is open right up until the start of the event, which begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 14.
