Located in downtown Moline, Pour Brothers Craft Taproom debuted its “pour your own” brew feature during an official grand opening on April 22. The feature has customers pay by the ounce and choose from the 28 taps on the wall.
Co-owner Dustin Dozard said Pour Brothers has rotated through more than 100 different beers since starting the business in January. He added that customers pouring their own drinks helps out staff during busy days.
“If we have. let’s say a group of 50 people come in. Twenty-five of them may come up for a cocktail, but we loose 25 of them going to the wall. It lets our bartenders actually keep up with what they are doing in the background,” Dozard said. “The second we get rid of one beer, something else is waiting right behind it. We pride ourselves in not having two of the same kinds of kegs.”
